Nicola & Daniel have chosen to discover the magic of Sri Lanka. Their adventure will begin with laid-back beach time in Negombo, before heading inland to the cultural heart of Kandy for bustling markets and a hands-on Sri Lankan cookery experience.
Next up is a visit to the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth, from which, they’ll glide through misty tea country on one of the world’s most scenic train rides in the world, to Ella. Fresh-air hikes, iconic sights like Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge await on their next leg. Then it’s off on safari in Yala National Park in search of the illusive leopards that call Yala home, before finishing in pure relaxation on the south coast at Kosgoda.

Yala National Park Safari
Yala National Park will bring Sri Lanka’s wild side to life. At golden hour, the landscape shifts from open plains to dense scrub and shimmering lagoons, alive with birdsong and movement. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed — but that’s part of the magic — with chances to spot elephants, crocodiles, deer and colourful birdlife, and, if luck is on their side, the famously elusive leopard. It’s an unforgettable, heart-racing experience that Nicola & Daniel will be talking about long after the safari dust has settled.

Negombo Lagoon Boat Trip
A picturesque ride across the Negombo lagoon will see Nicola & Daniel meander along the lagoon, as well as exploring the mangroves. Within this unique ecosystem, they’ll be keeping their eyes open for some truly rare species along the way.

Galle Fort
Nicola & Daniel will explore the timeless streets of Galle Fort — a place that feels like stepping into another era. They’ll wander cobbled lanes shaped by more than 400 years of history, from Arab merchants to the Portuguese and Dutch, passing colonial homes with red-tiled roofs and pausing for sweeping views where the ramparts meet the Indian Ocean. Most remarkable of all, it’s still a living, inhabited monument — full of atmosphere, character, and stories at every turn.

Supper With a Southern Blend
Welcomed with open arms, Nicola & Daniel will venture into a local family home for a truly authentic dinner — a genuine taste of the southern hospitality Sri Lanka is known for. They’ll share a home-cooked feast prepared with love, with coconut taking centre stage, from coconut roti and sambol, to a sweet pani pol finale (crêpes filled with coconut and treacle). It’s the kind of intimate, authentic evening no restaurant can replicate — because for one night, they’ll feel like part of the family.
