Timeline
– 1 to 2 years to go: Get your destination and date locked in. Consider a short trip to your chosen venue to see it for yourself.
– 1 to 1.5 years to go: Spread the word to your guests, so they can save the date and get deposits paid in plenty of time.
– 6 months to go: All documents and paperwork sorted, especially if getting legally married in your destination.
– 3 months to go: This is the moment to make sure all the smaller details are covered, close communication with your wedding planner is essential.
– 2 to 4 weeks to go: Start to consider what you will pack, do you need extra luggage?
