August Travel Ideas

Namibia

What an adventure awaits you in Namibia! From the enchanting red dunes of Sossusvlei to the captivating Skeleton coast, you will experience landscapes like no other. Witness the resilience of the desert-adapted lions in Damaraland and the haunting ghost towns swallowed up by sand. Get ready to explore the remote areas of Namibia and spot the fascinating feral horses and stunning quiver trees. During your travels, you'll find all the modern conveniences you need in Windhoek and Swakopmund. Make sure to visit Etosha National Park for an unforgettable game-viewing experience. Get your camera ready, and let's get started!

Zimbabwe

Safari along the Zambezi river and gaze at the awe inspiring Victoria Falls. You'll get an incredible view of the falls on foot from the Zimbabwean side, but we also highly recommend a short helicopter ride to take in the shear size of this stunning natural wonder. This area is also geographically unique as it is nearby to the only 'quadripoint' international border in the world. With 4 countries bordering one point and given it's just a short distance away from Victoria Falls, we highly recommend visiting the likes of Botswana, Namibia or Zambia for a truly African inspired adventure.

Peru

Catch your breath as you acclimatise to the heady mountainous terrain, before setting off on possibly the most famous trek on earth, the Inca Trail. Following in the footsteps of the mighty Incan empire, your reward is the staggeringly beautiful ancient city of Machu Picchu. No trip to Peru is complete without visits to the lovely town of Cusco, a gateway to Machu Picchu as well as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You'll immerse yourself in the history of this once mighty civilization and after you've had your fill of history, head south to the World's highest navigable body of water, Lake Titicaca, which can be your stopover before continuing into Bolivia.
